“I can only speak as a mother of two children who are no longer children but still mine. My son is 20 and my daughter 16. As we raise them we believe that the next stage in their lives may be a little bit easier. It's not. Our deepest fear is when they go into the world with wide eyes ready for an adventure that there is someone waiting to interrupt and take away that innocence. The young go in blind and hopeful while we walk with our hearts clenched in our hands hoping for the best.”
