Priya’s Shakti: A Graphic Novel by Ram Devineni, Lina Srivastava, and Dan Goldman

“Priya’s Shakti is the first Indian comic book of its kind — not only confronting teenagers with the sensitive issue of sexual violence, but also engaging young people through its innovative use of augmented reality technology.” — REUTERS

The original artwork from the comic book is by Dan Goldman and is printed on ultra board. The story is about Priya, a rape survivor, who joins forces with the Goddess Parvati to fight against sexual violence in this layered story using Indian mythology. All proceeds support Apne Aap Women Worldwide, who is our NGO partner. We are working closely with them to disseminate the comic book in India and developing new stories. www.priyashakti.com
